HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER

Not everyone needs to be an emergency responder. There are lots of functions that need accomplished to keep the department operating.

Some of these functions include but are not limited to: bookkeeping, station and vehicle maintenance, fund raising, various administrative functions etc.

Emergency responder functions: Firefighting, EMS (EMR, EMT), Technical Rescue

Associate

  • No previous experience required
  • Anyone who wishes to help in any way
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Complete and submit an application
  • Submit PSP criminal background check
  • Submit PA child abuse clearace
  • Attend 6 monthly meetings annually

Active

  • No previous experience required
  • Anyone who wishes to help with running calls
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Complete and submit an application
  • Submit PA criminal background check
  • Submit PA child abuse clearance
  • Attend 16 drills and training annually
  • Attend 6 monthly meetings annually

Junior

  • Be between the ages of 14 and 17
  • Complete the application with parental consent
  • Attend 6 monthly meetings annually
  • Attend drills and training if wish to be active
  • Submit school “working papers”
  • Maintain a “C” academic average
