Our Mission: Fairview – Lake Shore Fire Dept is dedicated to the preservation of life and property. Life is irreplaceable and will always be our priority over all duties and tasks. We will act in a professional manner treating all with dignity and respect in all phases of life with all that we do. We will provide care and comfort to those in need, and in training improve our skills to reduce the loss of life and property. We shall maintain a welcome relationship with those in our community and surrounding areas.

History

Fairview Fire and Rescue was founded in 1933. Since then, our personnel have worked tireless hours, training and responding to all types of emergencies in our township and surrounding communities working hand in hand with neighboring emergency agencies. Over the years 911 emergency calls have increased significantly and our personnel are responding more frequently to a broader response area including all parts of western Erie County, Millcreek Township and the city of Erie. From time to time we are even called to respond as far as Harborcreek and beyond Edinboro.

Lake Shore Fire Department was founded in 1947.

Fairview Fire & Rescue and Lake Shore Fire Departments are both 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Volunteer Fire Dept. The IRS paperwork for the newly merged organization Fairview-Lake Shore Fire Department is in process. Both legacy organizations continue to function under their respective names during this transition
